The art festival of Tempe that opens on December, 3, is considered one of the biggest in the USA; it is visited by 250 thousand people annually. The authors taking part in the festival will represent painting, graphic works, sculpture, ceramics, wood and glass craft, photography and handmade work there.
The art festival in Tempe is not like the international art exhibition fairs. World-famous stars and renowned experts are not invited there. On the contrary, the festival has unofficial character and doesn’t set global targets to explore contemporary art, understand the tendencies and fashion shaping. The festival is opened for everyone and will make a pleasant pastime for the art lovers and for the ones who would like to purchase a good painting, sculpture or genuine handmade item. Thou the festival covers many art genres it is not easy to become a participant of the event because only the best and genuine authors are chosen by a special jury. 400 artists were chosen to take part in the festival this year. Altogether the festival has two different sets of jury. The second set works during the festival and chooses the best authors in each genre of art. The exposition is divided into 18 sections among which the best author is being chosen in each of them. Beside this, the second jury chooses the best festival participant too.
Other events will take place in the frames of the festival beside the exhibition part.The troops of the street theatres and music bands will put on their performances. Numerous workshops for the adults as well as for the children are planned to be carried out during the days of the festival.
