   Milliart.com - an international art project, whose aim  is  to promote national culture around the world through their art. The concept of "national culture" project takes the original values: tradition are not allowed to fade, although they may vary.

That is why a great  part of the national modern art has many faces and still recognizable – convinced  the authors of the project. Authentic art  is a unique language that we can communicate with the world, to be understood preserving. Milliart.com represents about hundreds of artists from various countries: from Peru - to India and from Finland - to Argentina. These are authors who are not afraid to experiment with materials and themes, are notable and recognizable manner of their own approach in depicting traditional themes and stories.

Physically, the project was allocated  in the Ukrainian space, but in its network area - zone com. This means that the project pursues several objectives: presentation of Ukrainian art in the world, creating a platform for the  international art dialogue, introducing art lovers from all corners of the planet's culture of different nations.

Project profile charity exhibition debut - received funds from the sale of works of art schools will be transferred from Nikopol, Donetsk, Krivoy Rog and the city, contributing to financial aid.

The exhibition will feature painting and graphic artists from Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Croatia, Latvia and Georgia. The Ukrainian participants of the exhibition - the famous painter John Semesyuk and actor, musician and producer George Delhiev, who in his novels is the absolute opposite of our well-known Delhiev-actor.

Charity exhibition will be presented within 10 days Ruska Club Cult Ra - new space in which authenticity is present not only in preparing national dishes from ancestors and power drinks (ginger tea and milk, zbyten et al.), But in the same atmosphere of the club, which reveres history and the wisdom of his native land. The club has its own bookstore, in the nearest plans - Ukrainian band concerts, art projects, literary events, workshops and numerous other events.
In the evening program - performance of Olga and Viktor Ruban Kebas, bands Bozic, skomorokhs free communication and a glass of wine and Ukrainian snack. The opening will be to interview project participants and distinguished guests.

A RARE single malt has sold at auction for over £12,000, becoming the most expensive bottle of 50-year-old Macallan. The whisky was at the centre of an international bidding war at the world’s largest whisky auctions in Glasgow yesterday. Contemporary woman portrait exhibition

An exhibition of women portrait by the young artist Lam Shiu Chi opened in Hong-Kong on December 18. The exposition was rather big: 60 portraits painted by the artist during various years of her work are present there. The artist works in many genres and her repertoire has some landscapes and still-lives but the portrait is her favorite genre. It is the genre she totally reveals herself as an original author with unrepeatable style.

The art exhibition Connecting Weave, Threads, and Culture dedicated to the ecology

The art exhibition Connecting Weave, Threads, and Culture dedicated to the ecology friendly art opens on December 17 in Australia. The exhibition is organized by the local company Ngarrindjeri Eco Art Co-Op (NEAC) that has organized the promotion companies of similar art for some years. All the works shown at the exhibition were created using eco materials or eco technologies in one way or another. A considerable part of the works is worked in traditional style. It is not surprising though the traditional art is closely connected with the ecology issues. Nevertheless, the exhibition isn´t limited by such exhibits only. The authors using contemporary technologies in their works are welcomed here. For example, 65 works of art represented at the exhibition are made of the secondary raw materials. However such unusual and ineffectual material was converted into real masterpieces in the hands of the artists. The exhibition’s display turned out to be very miscellaneous –here one can find literally everything from collages to purely designer projects. Weaved pictures and textile painting are of particular interest. It is worth mentioning that the textile works became the principal part of the exhibition; however painting, graphic art, ceramics, glass sculpture and many others will be represented at the exhibition.

The exhibition was dedicated to the Christmas holidays and all exhibits present there can be purchased. At this the exhibition will have a charity character and all the profits obtained from the sales will be spent on various ecological programs.

Workshops for children and adults will be carried out during the exhibitions and the visitors will have an opportunity to speak to the authors of the works being shown.

The exhibition of Contemporary Art in Milano

There are many steps on the road to success for an artist. Along the way, an up and coming artist will probably sign with an agent, have shows in more and more exclusive galleries, get good reviews from critics, and (hopefully) sell a few pieces.
These are all earmarks of a solid investment, but they aren't a guarantee.
What all these factors have in common is that they represent opinions of people in the art world. That's important because these opinions drive the market price. But that doesn't mean that you shouldn't buy a piece from an artist without an agent, or from one who has received bad reviews.
Essentially, what the art world thinks of an artist is a good way to minimize risk. On the other hand, the diminished risk usually means higher prices because other people are in on the artist. By contrast, an unknown artist can have a remarkable return on investment, or no return at all. So, in the end, it's your decision.

An art exhibition by painter and graphic painter Lenore Simon called "Simply Simon" opens on December, 1 in San Diego. During almost 60 years of artistic career the painter created uncountable number of pieces of art, worked out her own unrepeatable graphical styleand was awarded with a great number of prizes(20 graphic awards among them). In spite of her venerable age Lenore Simon still leads a stirring artistic life participating in the exhibitions not only in the US but as well in the other countries. Of course, it is impossible to cover the whole artwork of the painter in the frames of a single exhibition. But nevertheless the organization Art & Framing Solutions that initiated the present exhibition tried to gather in several halls the works that can help to monitor the development of the art by Lenore Simon. The exposition "Simple Simon" was constituted by the graphic papers drawn in the middle of the past century and the works drawn the last years.In such a way the visitors will be able to see the starting points of the artistic way of the painter and see the graphic works drawn by Simon as a mature author.

Her first works she printed on the printing press manually, now she creates her graphical works with the help of the computer technologies. With that her manual work still remains: each graphic work is additionally retouched by hand. Ukrainian Project at Red Dot Miami Art Fair.

Within the framework of Red Dot Miami Art Fair of the festival Art Basel Miami Beach the project "Insectoids and Reptiloids –a Search for harmony II" by the Ukrainian author Michel Merfenko will be shown. With this project Ukraine will make a name for itself on this prestigious art event in Miami for the first time.Michel Merfenko is an Irishman by his origin who lived many years in various countries of Europe but ultimately moved to live in Ukraine. Now the artist considers Ukraine his second motherland and introduces himself in the art circles as a Ukrainian author exclusively.

The work of art by Michel Merfenko was chosen to take part in Red Dot Miami Art Fair for a particular reason. The project "Insectoids and Reptiloids –a Search for harmony II" is a bright example of the search for new ways of expression that are carried out in thecontemporary art. The first part of the project was shown in Beijing within the framework of the World Congress on The Right Philosophy and The Social Philosophy "The Global Harmaony and Supremacy of the Right" in 2009. By its nature the project by Merfenko is a graphic three dimensional installation that changes depending on the things that happen around. Thus the first project "Insectoids and Reptiloids –a Search for harmony" was created directly at the congress an in a result became not a common art object but an original congress diary written by the artist. In his “records” Merfenko used traditional for China materials with at he didn’t repeat classic methods but gave new life to the materials in a new perception.

Merfenko will repeat within the framework of the Red Dot Miami Art Fair the practice applied in the first part of the project -"Insectoids and Reptiloids –a Search for harmony II" will react on the boiling art ambient Miami will submerge during the first week of December.

November 12, 2010 vernissage DYSFASHIONAL opens fall season Cycles & Seasons by MasterCard. The exhibition will be presented to the Center of Contemporary Culture "garage" for three weeks. After successfully completing the four stages in Europe - in 2007 in Luxembourg (cultural capital) in 2008 in Lausanne (Museum of Contemporary Design and Applied Arts) in 2009 in Paris (Passage du Déssir) and in 2010 in Berlin (Haus der Kulturen der Welt), - International Dysfashional concept will be shown in Moscow. Russia will be the final stage of exposure.
The exhibition will feature selected works of the previous stages, as well as specially designed for installation in Moscow from GASPARD YURKIEVICH, transformed the concept MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA, two new objects: from the Russian fashion-duo NINA DONIS and English designer of Georgian origin DAVID KOMA.

The Contemporary Art Fair and Exhibition MACparis "Talent Scout" inaugurates on November, 25 in Paris.

This exhibition has gathered a lot of painters under its roof every year for a quarter of century. This year 125 authors will bring their works to Paris to show their painting, installations, photography, sculptures and graphic works.

The main task of MACparis is to discover new talents, show the contemporary art through the art of not very popular artists. That’s why everything at the exhibition is organized for the commodity for the participants. Each artist is provided with a separate exhibition platform with total area of 18 m3 and the floor height of 3 m. The exhibition area doesn’t restrict the artist in the scale of the assumed works and each of the painters has an opportunity to represent his works of art fully. Beside this, the MACParis participation fee is affordable for the most beginning authors. The quality of the works offered for sale is supervised by the special committee MACparis that chooses a few most talented authors out of 15 thousand applications sent. Thousands of visitors visit the exhibition annually. Approximately 13 thousand visitors are expected this year to come,among them we can find curators, art galleries and art centers representatives,experts and common art lovers. Contemporary Art Auction in Kiev

Contemporary Art Center M17 in Kiev is preparing for the following contemporary art auction. The collection put up for sale last year is worth special attention. Thus, the pieces of art by the maestros of the contemporary Ukrainian art Alexander Roytburd, Alexander Gnilitskiy, Ilia Chichkan, Kirill Protsenko, Roman Zhuk, Valeriya Trubina, Valentin Raevskiy, Yuriy Solomko and by other artists will be represented at the auction.

The organizers of the auction didn’t forget about the young generation of Ukrainian artists. Among other works the art works by Zoya Orlova, Stepan Ryabchenko, APL315, the artist of the "Ubik" group and other beginning authors will be offered for sale.

Many works can be seen on sale for the first time at the auction and were exhibited exclusively here and were not shown for the wide audience before. The starting price variesfrom 1000 to 20.000 dollars.

The bids of the November auction can be estimated to full measure at the pre-auction exhibition that takes place these days at M17. Here it is also possible to sign up for the auction.

The contemporary art exhibition in Istanbu

The annual art fair of the contemporary art called Contemporary Istanbul which is inaugurated in the capital of Turkey on November, 25 celebrates this year a small holiday –its fifth anniversary. For the art institutions from all over the world and will beat its own record this year: 80 art galleries will participate in it and 37 of them will come from the foreign countries. In general, the 2010 became the year of big numbers for the Contemporary Istanbul: 2000 pieces of art, 420 authors, and 12 million audience provided by numerous media.Painting,sculpture, graphic art and engraving, video-art and installations will be represented there. Though the exhibition has an international character the major attention at the Contemporary Istanbul is paid to the promoting of the art of Turkey and the whole region. The “New Horizons” became a traditional section of the exhibition where the Arabian and Asian countries showed their art the previous years. Last year the "New Horizons" were given to the Syrian artists, now the Iranian authors will show their last works there.

But the Contemporary Istanbul doesn’t focus attention on the art of any particular Asian country. Special attention is paid to the galleries and authors of the region. The forum “TRANSITION: The New Art of Saudi Arabia” will be carried out in the exhibition framework as well. The American artists whose works will be united in a large-scale project were invited to the Contemporary Istanbul. A range of seminars, round-table discussions and workshops will be held according to the tradition. Among them we would like to emphasize especially the lecture called Collecting: Contemporary Art.

The Affordable Art Fair is the first Asian art fair of such a type that will take place in Singapore. Such an approach allows to draw wide layers of the society to the art collecting and convert this elite and fascinating hobby into an affordable one. At that the art fair doesn’t forget about the quality of the works of art put up for sale.

More than 60 galleries from all over the world (Asia, Australia, Europe)came to take part in AAF in Singapore. The works of art by the young and the renowned authors were put up for sale, they will send in painting, graphic art, sculpture etc. The one that visit the exhibition in a quality of a viewer more than a buyer will have something amuse with. A variety of workshops (the ones for children as well), lectures and presentations dedicated to the art will be carried out in the frames of Singaporean AAF. Furthermore, the discussion on the topic "Why the art is bought: for pleasure or for investments?" will be held with the participation of the representatives of the Sotheby’s Institute.

Similar fairs AFF are organized worldwide. The idea of an “affordable art” was carried out for the first time in London in 1999. Today the similar fairs are being held annually in the eight world art centers, New York, Amsterdam, Brussels and Sidney among them.

Iranian Culture Week in Ukraine

                   

The Ukrainian House changed its appearance for some days –it hosts the Iranian Culture Week that unites various kinds of artin it. Thus, the festival brought together the photo exhibition, the painting, calligraphy, traditional minting,enamels, leatherwork, silver carving and many others. The Persian carpets, light and thin, with an elaborate ornament are amazing. It was the carpets that fully reveal the striking particularity of the Iranian decorative applied art–they have big volume of colors and decorative elements and at the same time lack massivity.

 

There is not even a slight hint on the supersaturated luxury, quite the opposite,the beauty of the Iranian handicraft is in its moderateness, the ability to chose and combine the colors and ornaments in the proper way. The own exposition, by the way, has the same quality –on a rather small territory the organizers managed to represent very heterogeneous manifestations of an art that assembled into a single charming action. So beside the permanent exhibition as it was described above a variety of events takes place during the festival: traditional live music, "Iranian Rhythms", the Iranian films show, the Iranian national clothes show. The most exotic performance of the program is the traditional reading of the epic writings (a famous poem "Shahname" among the others) accompanied by music. The lectures on the Iranian culture, particularly on the theater history are held in a separate hall.

        

The folk craftsmen and artists will carry out workshops of calligraphy, painting and leatherwork for the ones who were inspired by the Iranian culture in the frames of the festival. Also one can buy some souvenirs (postcards, keyholders, jewelry,enamels, carpets etc) at the Iranian Culture Week.
