Auction Bonhams in New York

Famous auction house Bonhams will organizecontemporary art bids on November, 9. The auction will take place in New York and will be transmitted to Los Angeles. Under the title Modern and Contemporary Art auction Bonhams has gathered artworks by the painters of ХIX, XX and XXI centuries. Among them one can find some familiar to the visual arts names: Adolf Gottlieb, Fernand Léger, Bernard Buffet, Philip Guston, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Richard Anuszkiewicz, Aaron Young, Rachel Howard, Tom Wesselmann. The bidding has no restriction as for the art styles: Impressionism, pop-art, Abstractionism, actual art and many others.
The experts suppose that the top bid of the auction will be the painting by the American painter, abstract painter Philip Guston (“Unnamed”, 1952) with the estimated price 950.000$. The art lovers have great expectations about another abstract impressionism painting by Adolf Gottlieb “Green. Ochre. Maroon” (1969). The estimated price of the painting by the American author is 200.000-300.000$.
Four painting by the French artist Fernand Léger will be sold from the bid, their start price vary from 30.000 to 800.000$. The French authors will be represented by the sculptures by Alexandr Archipenko (25-35.000$) and Auguste Rodin (25-35.000$), the painting by Renoir (200-400.000$) and the other works.
This season the auction Bonhams will widely represent the East European authors of the ХIX – 1st half ХХ centuries, among them we can name Hungarians Vilmos Aba-Novák and Hugó Scheiber and an Austrian Franz von Zülow. The start prices for their works vary from 3 to 30.000$.
