New exhibition area in St.Petersburg "Nepokorennye 17"

The Saint-Petersburg gallery-studio "Nepokorennye 17" has opened a new exhibition area since the February of this year. This area exhibits works of art of the international young painters exclusively, and in Novemberit will host the exhibition called "Faust" created by the beginning artist from Argentina Pedro Riva, a participant of many international exhibitions (Spain, Argentinaand Finland).
The painter will show his point of view on the classical subject by Johan Wolfgang Goethe. The deal with the devil according to which Faust trades his soul for the eternal youth and wisdom in exchange can represent the contemporary art. However Riva himself doesn’t tend to understand the subject so dramatically: "The story of Faust is just a story". Indeed, the concept of the exhibition is just a concept but not the manifestation of the only possible reality. In many cases the contemporary art is just a merry game that makes one look at the world from various and sometimes unexpected angles of view.
The exhibition "Faust" is interesting not only because of its special rethinking of the classic subject but the same works by Pedro Riva astonish with the manner of the art. His painting the artist creates with the help of the most varied materials. With the paints he uses pieces of glass, chunks of wood, metal, cuttings from the magazines, patches of fabric and many other things. Pedro Rivas doesn’t fear to experiment. If the idea has to be carried out in large scale, he will paint a 7 meter canvas, and if the idea needs something other than painting he will create a collage, graphic art or drawing.
Such a riot of colors and the huge size paintings give visitors a more volumetric impression and allow to plunge into the world of his hero. You must visit his exhibition, as theme of the soul and the devil is always current, and every creator lightens her own attitude to life and inner feelings.
The time of the event: November, 6 till 20. The exhibition will be inaugurated _on November, 6 at 7 p.m. _The place: Av. Nepokorennyh 17, studio "Nepokorennye 17", the nearest metro station is Ploschad Muzhestva, Saint-Petersburg, Russia.
